What to Expect: The Day After Surgery

Before leaving the Recovery Room, you will be given a Discharge Instruction Sheet with simple, written guidelines to continue your home care.
If you have any questions or problems after discharge, please contact your doctor. Your doctor's phone number is listed at the bottom of your Discharge Instruction Sheet.
A nurse from the Surgery Center will phone you within 24-48 hours after surgery to see how you are and to answer any questions you might have.
We encourage you to complete a patient questionnaire after you have recovered from surgery. This will help us with your follow-up and to improve our service.
